Each years ornament is crafted by hand and features fabric in the design. The Father Christmas from each year features a different theme and carries a special message. The theme from the first year is peace and the Santa is dressed in ivory for a wintery looking Father. The Father ornament from 2005 is dressed in deep purple and carries musical instruments. His scroll carries a message of Joy and Harmony. The 2006 Santa is simply stunning in a deep royal blue decorated with stars. It is truly a beautiful ornament and his theme is “Feel the Wonder”.

In 2007, Hallmark produced a colorway ornament for this series and did a remake of the #1 Santa from 2004 dressed in the same outfit in a burgundy color. The regular series piece is dressed in dark green velvet and carries a Christmas tree. His scroll contains a message for happiness and prosperity. This years Father is in the more traditional bright red with a pack of toys on his back and the reindeer harness in his hand. His message is the joy of remembering. Collect them all!!

Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Hallmark Ornaments Series

Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Hallmark Ornaments Series

Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Other Hallmark Ornaments

Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Miniature Hallmark Ornaments Series

Hallmark started two different series of Harley Davidson Motorcycles in 1999. The full-size ornament series started with the Heritage Springer while the miniature series started with the Electra-Glide. Both series are sculpted by Don Palmiter in die-cast metal and feature amazing detail. This series seems to have grown stronger in popularity with collectors each year. We noticed a lot of collectors coming to pick up past issues of this series last year and the 2006 FLHR Road King is sought after as much as any of them.
The 2002 miniature model 1958 FL Duo Glide was hard to find in the year of production and has a high resale value as well as the first in the series.
Hallmark added several items of interest to Harley fans as well as the motorcycles themselves. In 2000, they produced the Harley Big Twin Evolution Engine which features movement and light. The pistons move and the spark plugs light. Also, in that same year, an ornament was made of the famous Harley Bar & Shield. Hallmark has also produced two Harley Barbie Biker ornaments, one in classic Harley Biker dress and one riding the bike itself. These were produced in 2000 and 2001.
A couple of new items were added to the mix in 2008. This year you can find a Harley Davidson Motorcycle store which includes a miniature ornament FL Duo-Glide as well as “Jolly Rider” which is Santa Claus in a Harley Jacket. The motorcycle this year is the 2008 XL 1200N Sportster, and the miniature is a 2002 VRSCA V-Rod.

Snow Buddies Hallmark Ornaments Series

This is an adorable series of smiling snowmen with little animal friends. The series is sculpted by Hallmark artist Tammy Haddix and started in 1998. The first in the series features the snowman with a little brown bunny and has increased steadily in value since the beginning of the series. Hallmark also produced colorway (repaints) of several of the pieces in this series.
Many of the others in the series are favorites with collectors as well. The fox in 1999 (#2) is getting harder to find and we have many requests for the 2000 (#3) which has the snowman feeding cardinals. In 2004 (#8), the baby fawn is especially cute and the squirrels crawling on the snowman in 2003 (#7) are a unique touch.
Hallmark has introduced other items as well to complement this series. Last year, when the #10 was in stores, they produced a special limited edition Anniversary piece with several animals as well as a special snow globe. This year, a snow buddies scene was featured on the first of six Holiday Ball Ornaments Hallmark is selling for $6.95 each during the release of each new set of ornaments throughout the holiday season. Look for this ball as well as series number #11 where the snowman is fishing in your local Hallmark stores this year.

<category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Bluster B. Woolscarf. Each of these ornaments is designed by Hallmark Keepsake Artist Joanne Eschrich. The 2005 ornament did not appear to be overly popular with collectors, however, the 2006 Bluster B. Toboggan appeared to be the rarest of 2006 ornaments. Because of this, the secondary market value of Bluster has really taken off and he is still hard to find.

These ornaments are truly beautiful in design. Each snow person has a “scene” depicted on the base which matches the theme of the ornament. In 2005 Skylar A. Woolscarf is wearing a city skyline and holds his umbrella and wears a pocket watch. Bluster B. Toboggan is wearing mittens and a knitted cap with his toboggan and the scene is one of sledders on a wooded hill. Bluster’s buttons are snowflakes. Last year’s Colleen C. Evergreen is a country scene of hauling the Christmas Tree home on a sled to the farmhouse. She is holding a fir branch with cardinals and her buttons are slices of a tree trunk.

2008 brings us two additions to the collection. The #4 in the series is Louie D. Lightly holding a string of lights with lights for his buttons. Louie’s scene is of a small town street decorated with lights – his blue cap is cute and unique. Hallmark also produced a companion to the series available only to collectors who join the Hallmark Collector’s Club this year called Stanley T. Starr. He looks like a nighttime snowman with open stars on his base to allow for a tree light to produce a lighted effect. His buttons are stars and his top hat shows Santa and his sleigh in the night sky. He is a wonderful addition to this collection.

Snowtop Lodge Series

Beauty of Birds Hallmark Ornaments Series

This is a beautiful series which started in 2005 with the Northern Cardinal. Each bird is designed by Hallmark Keepsake Artist Edythe Kegrize and sculpted by LaDene Votruba. Although the Cardinal seemed to be left over in large amounts following Christmas in 2005, the price started to escalate quickly when the 2006 #2 Black-Capped Chickadee was released. The Chickadee is highly detailed and is a lovely addition to your holiday decorations.

By 2007, when the Blue Jay was released, the Cardinal was becoming somewhat hard to find and was one of the most sought after pieces by collectors during the 2007 Christmas season. The Blue Jay was a great addition to this great series for a number of reasons. It adds a lot of color and Hallmark has never done a Blue Jay prior to this ornament. They have previously done a Cardinal and Chickadee in other series such as Holiday Wildlife (1982-1988).

The 2008 Goldfinch is a lovely addition for this year and the series continues to increase in popularity and value. The 2006 Chickadee has doubled its secondary market value from last Christmas. If you have not started collecting this series, it truly makes a wonderful addition to your tree. We are hoping for an oriole somewhere in the series as that would beautiful and unique as well. Happy Collecting.

See the complete series of Beauty of Birds.
